General usage information

PARI/GP is a computer algebra system designed for fast computations in number theory (factorizations, algebraic number theory, elliptic curves, modular forms, L functions...) and contains a large number number of functions to compute with mathematical entities such as matrices, polynomials, power series, algebraic numbers, transcendental functions, etc.

This module will add the commands gp, gp2c, gp2c-run to your PATH.

The following environmental variables have been defined:

• \$PARI_ROOT has been set to the root of the pari-gp installation
• \$PARI_LIBDIR points to the directory containing the libraries
• \$PARI_INCDIR points to the directory containing the header files

You will probably wish to use these by adding the following flags to your compilation command (e.g. to CFLAGS in your Makefile):

• -I\$PARI_INCDIR

and the following flags to your link command (e.g. LDFLAGS in your Makefile):

• -L\$PARI_LIBDIR -Wl,-rpath,\$PARI_LIBDIR
