General usage information

SoX is a cross-platform command line utility that can convert various formats of computer audio files in to other formats. It can also apply various effects to these sound files and can play and record audio files on most platforms.

This module will add the sox, rec, play commands to your PATH

The following environmental variables have been defined:

• \$SOX_ROOT has been set to the root of the sox installation
• \$SOX_LIBDIR points to the directory containing the libraries
• \$SOX_INCDIR points to the directory containing the header files

You will probably wish to use these by adding the following flags to your compilation command (e.g. to CFLAGS in your Makefile):

• -I\$SOX_INCDIR

and the following flags to your link command (e.g. LDFLAGS in your Makefile):

• -L\$SOX_LIBDIR -Wl,-rpath,\$SOX_LIBDIR
