This workshop is targeted at new users of the University's
High Performance Computing resources (Deepthought2 and Juggernaut clusters),
especially those with limited or no HPC experience experience.
This course will introduce participants to
the basics of high-performance computing (HPC), and will briefly cover:
Much of the above tasks will be discussed in terms of the OnDemand web portal for the clusters. The OnDemand web portal offers unexperienced users an efficient way to accomplish most practical tasks.
None. This is an introductory workshop and is targeted at new users of our clusters, so no previous knowledge of high performance computing nor Linux/Unix is assumed.
As this webinar will be offered via Zoom, you are assumed to have a system (laptop or desktop) with Zoom installed. You will likely also want to have a modern web browser - for Windows preferably Firefox - to access the OnDemand portal.
