General Usage
ZeroMQ is an asynchronous messaging library, aimed at use in distributed or concurrent applications. It provides a message queue, but unlike message-oriented middleware, a ZeroMQ system can run without a dedicated message broker.
The following environmental variables have been defined:
- $ZEROMQ_ROOT has been set to the root of the libzmq installation
- $ZEROMQ_LIBDIR points to the directory containing the libraries
- $ZEROMQ_INCDIR points to the directory containing the header files
You will probably wish to use these by adding the following flags to your compilation command (e.g. to CFLAGS in your Makefile):
- -I$ZEROMQ_INCDIR
and the following flags to your link command (e.g. LDFLAGS in your Makefile):
- -L$ZEROMQ_LIBDIR -Wl,-rpath,$ZEROMQ_LIBDIR
