General Usage
ParaView is an open-source, multi-platform data analysis and visualization application. ParaView users can quickly build visualizations to analyze their data using qualitative and quantitative techniques. The data exploration can be done interactively in 3D or programmatically using its batch processing capabilities.
ParaView was developed to analyze extremely large datasets using distributed memory computing resources.
This module will add the paraview and related commands to your PATH.
This module is for the headless version of paraview, which can run without an attached display. For the normal version, use module load paraview
In case you need to link against this library in your code, the following environmental variables have been defined:
- $PARAVIEW_ROOT has been set to the root of the paraview-headless installation
- $PARAVIEW_LIBDIR points to the directory containing the libraries
- $PARAVIEW_INCDIR points to the directory containing the header files
You will probably wish to use these by adding the following flags to your compilation command (e.g. to CFLAGS in your Makefile):
- -I$PARAVIEW_INCDIR
and the following flags to your link command (e.g. LDFLAGS in your Makefile):
- -L$PARAVIEW_LIBDIR -Wl,-rpath,$PARAVIEW_LIBDIR
