General Usage
PPLplot is a cross-platform software package for creating scientific plots whose (UTF-8) plot symbols and text are limited in practice only by what Unicode-aware system fonts are installed on a user's computer. The PLplot software has a clean architecture that is organized as a core C library, separate language bindings for that library, and separate device drivers that are dynamically loaded by the core library which control how the plots are presented in noninteractive and interactive plotting contexts.
This module will add the pltcl and pltek commands to your PATH
The following environmental variables have been defined:
- $PLPLOT_ROOT has been set to the root of the plplot installation
- $PLPLOT_LIBDIR points to the directory containing the libraries
- $PLPLOT_INCDIR points to the directory containing the header files
You will probably wish to use these by adding the following flags to your compilation command (e.g. to CFLAGS in your Makefile):
- -I$PLPLOT_INCDIR
and the following flags to your link command (e.g. LDFLAGS in your Makefile):
- -L$PLPLOT_LIBDIR -Wl,-rpath,$PLPLOT_LIBDIR
